We're excited to release the v3 Multi-Platform & Xbox Guitar Controller Firmware Update!
This update delivers important fixes, meaningful improvements, and the ability to update your guitars Fret Neck to 1000hz polling rate.
⚠️ PLEASE NOTE: This firmware update is currently available only via the Windows PC launcher (CRKD Updater Application). OTA updates through the CRKD App for v3 Multi-platform and Xbox editions will be released soon.
The Multi-Platform Cherry Sunburst Collector’s Edition Bundle supports 1K Hz polling right out of the box. We still recommend updating to the latest v3 firmware to ensure you’re running the newest performance improvements.
Note that after completing the v3 update, the device must be powered on and operating normally before being powered off to update the neck. This allows the body to recognize the fret neck firmware version and deliver the correct update for your neck style (OG or SOLO). Note that if you are updating multiple necks, you will need to do this for each neck to make sure the correct update is applied for each neck.

This update delivers a 1000Hz Neck update, along with stability improvements, refined input behavior, and enhanced cross-platform consistency.
Multi-Platform Guitar Updates
- Adds a new Neck firmware update flow for clearer, more reliable upgrades including a 1000Hz neck update. (See instructions below or watch the video tutorial)
- Improves stability when switching between standard and solo Neck configurations.
- Enhances USB and Dongle stability on Linux.
- Switch – Mode 5,6,7 on dial is now remapped to support Festival natively (when turned on in Festival settings in game).

🔧 HOW TO UPDATE NECK FIRMWARE
After updating to v3 firmware via the Windows PC Updater, your guitar body can now update the fret neck firmware. The update is delivered from the body to the neck, rather than directly from the updater. Update your guitar first, then manually update the neck by following the steps below.

First, update your guitar controller firmware via the Windows PC updater,

Once updated, power off the guitar controller, unplug the USB-C cable, and unplug your dongle. (Important)

While the controller is off, hold the Green, Yellow, and Orange fret buttons, then power it on at the same time using the CRKD Home button.
- The LEDs will flash blue, then green to confirm the update is complete.
