CRKD Guitar Firmware Updates - May 2026

Today we're pushing out a firmware update for all guitar controllers.

Since launch, a number of you have reported frets dropping out during play. Over the past few months we've been working closely with community members to get to the bottom of it, and we want to be upfront that this one wasn't easy. The issue has been genuinely hard to reproduce at any meaningful scale, which is why it's taken the time it has.

The good news: we have a fix. It's been in testing for several weeks now, the results are looking solid, and it's ready to roll out today. You can grab the update through the CRKD app, or via PC if you don't have a phone handy.

A huge thank you also has to go to Sanjay, who has worked incredibly hard to make this update happen. Digging in deep, working directly with community players, and constantly debugging until we got there. This one really wouldn't have shipped without him.

And thank you again to everyone who reported, tested, and stuck with us on this. The detailed feedback genuinely made the difference.

Work continues on the drums, which will be Stage Tour Drums. We're planning to properly show them off and do a deeper dive over the summer.

There's a lot of motion at CRKD and Stage Tour right now, all of it positive, and every time we've reached out to the community for help working through something, the response has been genuinely incredible. We'll no doubt be leaning on many of you again over the coming months as we keep pushing forward on both the Stage Tour hardware and the game side of things.
